HOW DO I JOIN?

Registration is currently OPEN  until  March 1, 2023

FSecond Semester starts Wednesday February 1st. Dance attire is non-negotiable.

 

Please review the required attire for first day of class listed below.  Dancers responsibility. 

WHAT AGES ARE YOU ACCEPTING?

We are accepting ages 3-18, boys and girls

Scholarships available: (click here) Please fill out the scholarship form on the website. Open House on Jan 21st from 11-1pm is mandatory as well as signing an attendance contract if your child is chosen for one of the scholarship spots.

WHAT DOES LEGACY DANCE STUDIO OFFER?

AP's Legacy Dance Studio offers classes for dancers ages 3 to Adults. All registered students are required to attend dance classes offered by AP Legacy instructors. All classes are taught by experienced dance instructors with a degree in Performing Arts or who have over 10 plus years of experience performing, teaching, and coaching.  We currently offer Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Creative Movement (for ages 3-6) Adult Classes vary from Hip hop, Jazz, Contemporary and more! Adult classes will start back in February 2023!

WHAT ARE THE MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITIES?

​

1.    Have patience. Practices before a performance or competition may run long. If necessary an extra practice may be called by the dance instructor.

​

2.    All members will participate in fundraisers held by the AP’s Legacy Dance Studio. 

​

3.    The student will be responsible for keeping up with his/her dance uniform(s). 

​

4.    You are expected to practice at home. The dances you will learn at practice cannot be perfected until you practice on your own. 


5.    Be respectful; treat others as you would have them treat you. Kindness, respect, and common courtesy go a very long way. At all times, YOU will be held accountable for your actions. If you are learning a dance from another member be respectful and give it your all. It will soon be your turn to teach.


6.    Be Committed:

        a.    A personal, committed relationship to Jesus Christ.

        b.    An attitude of submission and humility to Christ, the leadership of the dance team and the church, as well as a teachable spirit. Support for one another as team members. This will set in motion our ability to minister properly under the power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

       c.    Flexibility and Patience!

AP's Legacy Dance Studio classes are held at our studio located at

2674 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68134

WHAT ATTIRE WILL I NEED FOR CLASS?

Mini's Class Required wear:

1. Black/Pink leotard and leggings; White t-shirt and black shorts for males 

2. Ballet slippers

3. Hair in high bun/puff; back bun/puff; braids/dreads pulled back tightly off face. Hair cannot be distraction.

​

Ballet Required wear: 

​

1. Black/Pink leotard; White T-shirt for males dancers

2. Pink/Black tights; Black shorts for males dancers

3. Black/Pink/Nude Ballet slippers

4. Hair in high bun/puff; back bun/puff; braids/dreads pulled back tightly off face. Hair cannot be distraction.

​

Modern required wear: 

​

1. Black top 

2. Black bottoms (loose fitting)

3. No shoes

4. Hair in high bun/puff; back bun/puff; braids/dreads pulled back tightly off face. Hair cannot be distraction.

​

Jazz Required wear: 

​

1. Black Top (short or long sleeve) or Black leotard

2. Black leggings or jazz pants; shorts for males 

3.  Jazz shoes or barefoot

4. Hair in high bun/puff; back bun/puff; braids/dreads pulled back tightly off face. Hair cannot be distraction.
