Welcome to the Legacy. Aunt Phyllis’ Legacy Dance Studio is a premier, Black-led institution in Omaha, NE, dedicated to the mastery of movement and the celebration of cultural history. As the flagship program of AP’s Legacy Academy, we provide a disciplined, performance-based environment for dancers ages 3 to 18.

​Our Curriculum: Education & Exposure

We offer a rigorous, two-year multi-level curriculum designed to develop well-rounded artists. Our instructors focus on technical precision across five core disciplines:

• Ballet & Jazz: The foundation of grace, alignment, and strength.

• Contemporary: Exploring emotional expression and modern technique.

• Hip Hop & Tap: Honoring the rhythmic roots and evolution of Black dance forms.

• Acro: Building the flexibility and athleticism required for professional-level performance.

The Performance Standard: "The Legacy of the Wiz

Every student at our studio is a performer. Our annual production, The Legacy of the Wiz, is not just a recital—it is a professional-grade showcase of the hard work, dedication, and excellence our dancers achieve throughout the year.
